(About Us: Pantry Boy)

What Makes Pantry Boy Different?

Pantry Boy isn’t your typical meal delivery service. When your meals are delivered you have the option of slow cooking a meal in the Crock Pot or fast cooking with your stove. Having both options is great for busy families because you never know how and when your schedule changes.

My Meals

I chose the omnivore menu so we could have a mix of meat and a vegetarian meal. We received spicy greek potato salad, chicken gyros, and lomo saltado. Everything was so delicious and easy to make. The chicken gyros had the option of slow cooking, but I chose fast cooking for all three meals.

Will I Try It Again?

I will definitely be putting Pantry Boy into our meal rotations. I loved the meals that we had delivered. The ingredients were fresh and delicious and as they said, there was “0” waste.

What I love is that the meals are preservative free. The meats are antibiotic free with no added hormones and all ingredients are organic when possible.

Oxford Momma: A Self Care Book Box for Moms

Ya’ll know I love self care! Encouraging women to incorporate it into their daily lives is super important to me and my mission. When I first heard of Oxford Momma , I thought, “how stinkin’ cool! A self care book box for moms!” I was so excited to receive a box  to review. When that pretty pink box showed up on my porch, I couldn’t wait to open it.

What’s included in the Self Care Book Box?

In the self care book box, you receive a book plus 4-5 self care items each month. With the May box, I got the book plus a fantastic candle, chap stick, and bath butter bomb. I also received a postcard and book mark with inspirational quotes that I was instructed to either keep for myself or pass on to a friend.

Prior to receiving the box, I got a post card from Oxford Momma telling me that my order was on the way. I love the thoughtfulness and personalization. It definitely stood out to me and made me feel special.

My Thoughts

Self care is a must for everyone. As a mom, I find it so easy to put myself on the back burner thinking that it makes me a better mom. On the contrary, it usually makes me a grumpy wife and mom. I was also under the impression that self care meant spa visits or mani/pedis. Those things are great, but self care is so much more than that. It’s a warm bath or a quiet cup of coffee before the kids wake up. It can be reading a great book or watching your favorite comedy. The possibilities are endless.

I absolutely love finding companies that get it. Oxford Momma totally gets the struggle that many moms face when it comes to their own self care. This Self Care Book Box for Moms is an awesome opportunity for moms to take some time and treat themselves. I defintely recommend this monthly box for all the mommas out there.

Who is the Ecocentric Mom?

The Ecocentric Mom is a mom who loves natural, organic and eco-friendly products. The boxes can be customized depending on mom’s stage of motherhood from the first trimester to age 4+. They don’t include just any products in the boxes. Each product must meet The Ecocentric Mom’s high quality standards so you know what you are getting is amazing! The company also gives back. A portion of their sales (1%) goes to a worthy charitable organization. In 2017, that particular charity was Keep a Breast Foundation.

I was so excited when that pretty teal box arrived in my mailbox! The box that I received was customized for me and my 6 month old. Included are cards that show the price of the products so if you want to go back and get more, you totally can.

My Favorite Item for Me!

Duh! The chocolate! That’s pretty much a no brainer. Chocolate is definitely my weakness and if you call it a “chocolate beauty bar”, I’m in!

I am also a fan of the Masigi pulling oil packets. They are super convenient. If you don’t  know about the benefits of oil pulling, you need to check out all the amazing benefits.

My Favorite Item for Baby!

Baby M has been teething like crazy! I’m pretty sure all of her top teeth want to pop out right now. Hyland’s oral relief tabs have been a Godsend. I used them with the twins and was so happy to see them in the Ecocentric Box.

My Final Thoughts!

Ya’ll! I loved everything about The Ecocentric Mom Subscription Box. 90% of the products in the box were products I had never heard of, so I was so excited to try all them.

Healthy Finds: Program Review + FREE Gift Card!

If you know me well, then you know I LOVE health and wellness. Since becoming a mom, I have been researching products and foods that are good for my family. I mean, actually good. Many companies give us the impression that something is healthy, when it reality it is not. That’s not what you get with Healthy Finds!

Healthy Finds is a program that is dedicated to finding healthy products. What really stands out to me is their desire to also inform consumers about what they are really putting in their bodies. In the words of the company, “It’s time to take back your health”.

I couldn’t agree more. Some many companies confuse us (consumers) about what is truly healthy and beneficial. Healthy Finds, led by Dr. Andrew Campbell, puts in the leg work.

Healthy - Finds

Program Details

  • $7 monthly fee
  • Get $10 cashback on every $50 you spend on any of the brands that Healthy Finds works with — no matter where you shop. (Amazon, Target, GNC or anywhere else the products are sold. See details here.)
  • Access to awesome deals on all natural products from trusted brands
  • Monthly newsletters on health/wellness
  • Gift cards that can be redeemed online
  • The average member of Healthy Finds gets at least $60 in gift cards when they sign up and $50 more each month they are a member.
  • Members will also receive a free phone consultation with one of our wellness advisors to ask our wellness team any questions they might have.

What do I think?

I love that they find products for everyone, including your little ones. It’s so difficult when we are bombarded by companies who tell us that they are healthy or organic when often they are only putting some “healthy stuff” in and marketing it as the best choice. It’s pretty frightening the things that are in our “good for you” products.

I like how you can earn cash back in the form of gift cards from many of the places you are probably already shopping (I’m talking to you Amazon and Target fans, I see you) when you purchase products from the brands that Healthy Finds is already working with. You just send them the receipts here.

I do worry that you could end up spending more than you normally would as some brands have a minimum purchase price to redeem certain gift cards; however the products that I have seen are pretty incredible, so it could totally be worth it. (My wish list is pretty long at this point lol)

If you are ready to get started, sign up here. They have an awesome introductory offer expiring soon! (P.S. I do NOT get a commission if you sign up.)

Hello Fresh Review

(This post does contain a link where I will receive credit for your purchase) You can save $40 on your first box with code: D28X57

I have been wanting to try Hello Fresh for a while but like anything else, I was skeptical to spend money on something and take the chance of not liking it. I was recently lucky enough to try a free box so there was no risk. (I tried the box made for 2 people)

The box arrived at my door and when I opened it, the food was stored neatly. The meat was separated from the other ingredients and all was kept cold. I love how the ingredients for each meal were separated into bags so no need to sort through. I used the bag from each meal to toss my trash in so it made for a pretty easy clean up. Large recipe cards were also included with pictures and instructions so it was easy to follow and understand.

The first meal was chicken-pineapple quesadillas with pico and sour cream. I love all Mexican dishes so I was very excited about this meal. The chicken breast was large enough to have extra leftover. The kiddos went to the neighbors for dinner so my hubby and I each had a quesadilla and a half and there were leftovers for lunch the next day for myself.

I wasn’t exactly excited about the second meal because I don’t normally like meat in my spaghetti (weird, I know), but this one was also a winner. Beef Ragu Spaghetti. Easy to follow directions and OMGoodness,  it was amazing. It was so good that my husband and I each had seconds otherwise there would have been leftovers with this meal as well. (The littles had dinner at our neighbor’s house again.)

The third meal was our favorite! Figgy Balsamic Pork. I’m always nervous cooking pork because I ALWAYS overcook it. It drives my husband crazy so I know he was secretly nervous about me cooking this meal as well. I can not put into words how amazing it was. I simply followed to recipe card instructions and the pork was cooked to perfection. Never one to toot my own horn, but TOOT TOOT! Our girls (3 year old twins) also loved this meal. No leftovers with this one.

As a wife and mom to twin toddlers and a newborn, I loved having preplanned meals sent to my door. I didn’t have to wonder what we were going to have or run to the grocery. The meals were simple to make but still made me feel like a chef. Included, were ingredients that I never thought to cook with like fig jam and pepperolio.

My only complaint was that  an onion was missing from the second meal, however I had one in the pantry so it wasn’t an issue. I emailed customer service and they immediately responded and credited my account for a future purchase. That was definitely above and beyond what I had expected.

Will we be trying Hello Fresh in the future? Absolutely!
