Your dread your workplace

While everyone struggles once in a while to get up and get ready for work, this should not happen daily. If you realize that you are filled with dread every time you think of work, then it might be a sign that you need to move on. Work should not be a place that causes you stress but rather a place to grow.  If the working conditions can be addressed, this is a good working environment for you. On the other hand, if you feel like your concerns are thrown out of the window, it may be time for you to move on to a better working environment.

You feel drawn to something else

There are times you might still love your job, but you feel like you belong elsewhere. Just like Samantha Ramer felt like the navy was her calling, your calling might not be what you are currently working at. The thing with your calling is, you will never be truly happy unless you answer it. Therefore, you have to figure out what your calling is and how to pursue it, and with that, you will find new happiness.

Your work affects your personal life

Some jobs make you feel fulfilled for a while, but it gets to a point where the new job might become too much. Suppose you realize that you hardly have time for yourself. There is a huge chance that you need to move. Work is only good when it has a timeline. If you find yourself working late nights and early mornings with little to no social life, then you should move. Staying in such an environment can be very toxic for you and lead to mental issues.

You have become lax

If you realize that suddenly you do not pay attention to the finer details at your job, then there is a chance you are tired of the job. In such a scenario, it makes sense if you head elsewhere. Laxity will look bad on your reputation and might end up ruining the image of the company you work for.  Laxity usually comes in when you feel that your efforts amount to nothing no matter what you do. Work in a place where you feel like your opinion matters.

Bottom Line

Moving from your old job to a new one can seem scary, but sometimes it is the best thing for you. If you have any work goals you should focus on, then this is something you should do. As you make your new year’s resolutions, adding a career change to your resolution would be good. Think everything through hand figure out what the next course of your life will be.
