Christmas is such an exciting time of year, but for many families, it can also be financially stressful.
You want to get great gifts for your kids and loved ones, but worry about the price tag when all is said and done.
A great tip throughout the year is to buy gift cards randomly and use them at Christmas time to buy gifts. Or you can buy gifts throughout the year and store them somewhere safe.
If you’re like me though, you didn’t do the above ideas. I have well meaning intentions, but I didn’t follow through.
Luckily, I have found some great online shopping tools to save money and lucky for you, I’m sharing my secrets!

Honey
Honey is a popular shopping tool that helps people save money. It easily adds discount codes to your shopping cart so you don’t have to spend hours online. (I see you searching for Macy’s coupon codes).
Just go to Honey and download the extension to your computer and let it do the tedious work for you.
SimplyCodes
SimplyCodes is a new online shopping tool, but it is definitely one that you need to have. SimplyCodes has a sleek and easy to navigate website. Don’t let the simplicity fool you though. They are the largest source of discount codes online.
Capital One Shopping
I have to be honest, I love Samuel L Jackson. When Capital One decided to use him for their Capital One Shopping campaign, it was genius marketing.
Just like Honey and SimplyCodes, you can easily download the extension onto your computer and it will automatically check for the best deals on your behalf.
You do not need to be a Capital One cardholder to use this extension. It’s free for everyone!
Ibotta
You’ve probably heard of Ibotta, but if not, you should definitely become a user today. You can get cashback on groceries. You can also get cashback from some of your other favorite retailers like Target, Old Navy, and Kohl’s, just to name a few.
It’s super simple. Just add the app onto your smartphone. After you shop, take a quick picture of the receipt in the app and get cash back. Once you reach $20, you can cash out your earnings straight to PayPal or cash them in for gift cards.
Imagine doing this throughout the year. You could already have quite a bit of Christmas covered by next year!
